NSB* While Paul recognized the leadership roles of James and Cephas (Peter), and John (v9) as "pillars" of the Jerusalem church, he pointed out that they were in no way superior to him in their understanding of the gospel.
Favoritism; The King James Version reads "God accepteth no man's person". I can see why this was translated as "favoritism", but if we look at the Greek "accepteth" has the idea of the front (as being towards view), i.e. the countenance, aspect, appearance, surface; by implication, presence, person. The Greek word is πρόσωπον prosōpon. Strong's G4383.
Accepteth has the idea of Derivation: a prolonged form of a primary verb, which is use only as an alternate in certain tenses; to take (in very many applications, literally and figuratively (properly objective or active, to get hold of; whereas G1209 is rather subjective or passive, to have offered to one; The Greek word used is λαμβάνω lambanō. Strong's G2983. Thayer expands - Thayer: 1) to take 1a) to take with the hand, lay hold of, any person or thing in order to use it 1a1) to take up a thing to be carried 1a2) to take upon one's self 1b) to take in order to carry away 1b1) without the notion of violence, i,e to remove, take away 1
2 Corinthians 11:5 For I consider that I am not at all inferior to the most eminent apostles.
2 Corinthians 12:11 I have become a fool in boasting; you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you; for in nothing was I behind the most eminent apostles, though I am nothing.
Added Nothing To Me; NSB* The other apostles were satisfied with Paul's understanding of the gospel.
Moving to Verse 7
Galatians 2:7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter
On The Contrary; The King James version uses "contrariwise" instead of "on the contrary". Contrariwise means "on the contrary". The Greek word is τοὐναντίον tounantion. Strong's G5121.
Committed; to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), i.e. credit; by implication, to entrust (especially one's spiritual well-being to Christ). The Greek word is πιστεύω pisteuō. Strong's G4100.
NSB* There were not two different gospels, one for the uncircumcised Gentiles, and another for the circumcised Jews. Rather, the primary scope of Paul's apostolic ministry was to the Gentiles (see Romans 11:13), while Peter's apostleship was, first and foremost targeted toward the Jews. The fact that God worked effectively through Peter in reaching Jews and just as effectively and just as effectively through Paul in reaching Gentiles was strong evidence to the leaders in Jerusalem of Paul's apostolic commission (Romans 1:5).

Worked Effectively; The King James version uses the word "wrought" instead of "worked". Worked in the Greek means to be active, efficient. Thayer expands, Thayer: 1) to be operative, be at work, put forth power 1a) to work for one, aid one 2) to effect 3) to display one's activity, show one's self operative. The Greek word is ἐνεργέω energeō.
Apostleship; commission, duty of apostle, apostleship. The Greek word is ἀποστολή apostolē.
Gentiles; whence Eng., heathen," denotes, firstly, "a multitude or company;" then, "a multitude of people of the same nature or genus, a nation, people;" (Heb., goiim) other than Israel, e.g.,. The Greek word used here is ἔθνος ethnos. Strong's defines it as a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually, by implication, pagan). Vine's (def A-1), Strong's G1484.
Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel.
Takeaways: There is nothing applicable to our walk with God in this text, but Paul is making it clear that not only is he an apostle of Christ, but that he is not inferior to any of the other apostles. We should ignore any false teachers trying to disregard the portion of the New Testament attributed to Paul. All scripture in the Holy Bible is the Word Of God. Everyone should also own a physical copy or several with the best translations you can get. There are more and more attacks on the Bible itself trying to remove and alter God's Word to fit certain worldly demonic views.
